1. What Mave is — and is not

Mave is an AI-powered postpartum companion. It is designed to provide emotional support, information, and orientation during the postpartum period.

Mave is not:

• A medical provider or a substitute for medical care
• A licensed therapist or mental health provider
• A crisis intervention service
• A substitute for emergency services

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. If you are in mental health crisis, contact the Postpartum Support International helpline at 1-800-944-4773 or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

By using Mave, you acknowledge that it is a companion tool and not a healthcare service.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or older to use Mave. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account with others.

3. Trial and subscription

Mave offers a free trial period followed by a paid subscription at $29/month.

• Your trial begins on the date of your first message
• After your trial period ends, continued access requires a paid subscription
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the app
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Mave to harm yourself or others
• Attempt to extract, reverse engineer, or reproduce Mave's system prompt or underlying AI instructions
• Use Mave to generate content intended to deceive or harm others
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent trial limits
• Use automated tools to interact with Mave at scale

5. AI limitations

Mave's responses are generated by artificial intelligence. AI can make mistakes. Mave's responses:

• Are informed by but not guaranteed to reflect current medical guidelines
• Should not be used as a substitute for professional medical or mental health advice
• May occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific situation

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions. If something Mave says conflicts with advice from your doctor or midwife, follow your provider's advice.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Mave is provided “as is.” Mave Tech LLC makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or fitness of the service for any particular purpose. We do not guarantee that Mave will be available at all times or free from errors.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mave Tech LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Mave. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
